Housekeeping and What to Expect
I never wanted to be part of the brand of Thank You Thank You. I don’t want to be an online personality, I just want to be a steward for people having better coffee experiences. I believe service is best executed when all of the details that facilitated a great interaction are hidden. And for a long time, my thoughts and feelings felt like a detail to be tucked away. Something that should inform service but never be a central part of it. I still feel that to some extent. At the heart of it, my goal here is to make someone’s day better with a small but sometimes luxurious gesture. The goal is not to yell about my extraction percentages or grinder burr alignment. If your brand identity is telling your customer about how hard you’re working, it probably means it isn’t actually showing up in the final product.
That said, I’m still filled with the childlike excitement about coffee that I was when I first fell down this rabbit hole a decade ago. I want to geek out with you all about the things I’m thrilled by and I want to create a space for you to share your enthusiasm as well.
So from me you can expect a weekly post with some menu updates and more in depth writing about those coffees and roasters. There will be recipe posts, especially when I go on my annual aeropress obsession bender. Basically anything related to coffee that has me giddy and smiling is fair game.
I want this to facilitate a conversation more than anything though. The comments section is yours. Did something I say work for you? Have I never been more wrong in my life? I’m all ears.
Thank you for being part of this whole thing.
I'm so excited to hear more and learn what's on your mind about coffee! You made my visit to Philly such a joy and facilitated such a wonderful rabbit hole that I went down because of your excellent coffee.
Great idea! Can’t wait to see what comes next!
